I know you’ll probably never see this, but I want to write to you to thank you for everything you’ve been to me throughout my whole entire life. This meager blog post came to be because of something incredibly small—you bought me more vanilla almond milk after I told you that the dark chocolate flavor was really syrupy and I didn’t like the texture. I sound like a spoiled brat, I know. Still, I just looked in the fridge and seeing that vanilla almond milk made my eyes water.
Thank you for taking me in after I, admittedly, screwed my own life up to the point that I was almost homeless. Thank you for believing enough in me that you told me I was going to school next semester, even if it was just community college, because you know that I am going places. Thank you for watching that shit show of a GOP presidential debate with me and agreeing with me on every criticism when I thought that we were going to be at it the whole time. And, most of all, thanks for having been there all of the other times that I never really appreciated it.
