Yes. Dad speaks Spanish. But he was born in the Bronx and lived there until he was 11 (no accent though, thank Shiva). Also: I say this as a born-and-raised American, but I don’t really think the use of the word “oriental” is at all better in Spanish because there are more accurate words to accurately describe where a noun (proper or otherwise) originates. Chinese —-> Chino/China. Japanese —-> Japonés/Japón. Etc.
